What We Do

Our Key Areas of Work

At RIWA (Rural Initiative and Welfare Association), we work to build a just, inclusive, and sustainable society by empowering individuals and communities—especially the underserved—through a wide range of development initiatives. Our work spans across rural and urban areas, always rooted in dignity, participation, and the belief that transformation begins within the community.

Livelihood Development

We provide training, tools, and resources to help individuals—especially women and youth—gain skills for self-employment, entrepreneurship, and sustainable income generation. From sewing machines to handicraft workshops, we support those striving for economic independence.

Women & Youth Empowerment

RIWA is deeply committed to gender equity and youth leadership. We facilitate leadership training, confidence-building programs, and create safe, inclusive spaces where women and young people can grow, lead, and influence positive change.

Education & Awareness

We run literacy programs, awareness sessions, and community education initiatives focused on social justice, gender rights, public health, and civic responsibility. Our goal is to inspire informed, empowered citizens.

Health & Wellbeing

We conduct health camps, promote hygiene and nutrition awareness, and connect vulnerable populations with essential healthcare services—ensuring that basic wellbeing is accessible to all.

Environmental Sustainability

We promote eco-friendly practices, environmental stewardship, and community-led solutions to climate challenges. RIWA encourages sustainable agriculture, waste reduction, and environmental education to protect our shared future.

Community Engagement & Peacebuilding

Through dialogue, collaboration, and solidarity, we work to foster peace, understanding, and social harmony. We actively engage communities in identifying their challenges and shaping solutions together.
