About Us

Who We Are

Rural Initiative and Welfare Association (RIWA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to driving sustainable grassroots change. We actively empower marginalized communities by focusing on six core pillars: Education, Good Health, Healthy Food, Youth Development, Women Development, and Environment & Climate Change.

From ensuring access to quality education and preventive healthcare to promoting organic farming and climate resilience, our goal is holistic community development. By fostering youth leadership and women’s financial independence, RIWA strives to build a healthy, self-reliant, and equitable society for future generations.

Our Mission & Vision

To build a healthy, climate-resilient, and equitable society where every youth, woman, and aspiring entrepreneur has the education, resources, and mentorship they need to achieve complete financial and social independence.

Our mission is to drive holistic community development by focusing on six core pillars:

  • Ensuring inclusive Education and preventing school dropouts.
  • Promoting Good Health and accessible preventive healthcare.
  • Ensuring Healthy Food through organic farming and chemical-free production.
  • Fostering Youth Development through leadership and skill-building.
  • Championing Women Development for gender equality and financial autonomy.
  • Protecting our future through Environment & Climate Change resilience.

At RIWA, we go beyond traditional charity. We actively nurture local potential by providing vocational training, financial literacy, and hands-on entrepreneurial support. From guiding agro-businesses like commercial mushroom cultivation to mentoring digital retail ventures, we help transform innovative local ideas into profitable realities.

  • Integrity: Maintaining transparency and accountability in all our operations.

  • Sustainability: Designing programs that create lasting environmental and economic impact.
